January 2018 winner mikeroweWORKS Foundation!

Charitocracy's 17th check to January winner mikeroweWORKS Foundation for $1446

We have good news about January winner mikeroweWORKS Foundation, right after this quick update...

Activity!

Have you been to Charitocracy recently to vote? Maybe you noticed the new activity log at the bottom of the dashboard. It'll give a sense of what everyone's doing on the site. Which causes are earning their votes? How much are they donating? Who's nominating new causes or commenting on them?

By default only friends can see your activity details. And you start out with no friends. So your activity is anonymous, except your cause nominations and comments. But it would be great to put names and faces with the activity! I'll write a blog post soon to explain why you might want to share your activity more widely, and how to do that. It involves your privacy settings under My Account > Privacy if you want a head start. 😉

January 2018 winner mikeroweWORKS Foundation

Last night we voted in our 5th cause of Charitocracy's 2nd year. Congratulations to mikeroweWORKS Foundation and to donor emily0153 for nominating it! You have the coming week to further sweeten the pot with a special one-time donation of any amount, which we'll add straight to the check we write to mikeroweWORKS Foundation next week. You can find their web site here.

Check out this video about the mikeroweWORKS Foundation, and feel good about your part in our collective $1446+ grant to help with their work!

Through its scholarship programs, the mikeroweWORKS Foundation provides financial assistance to qualified individuals who desire to learn a skill that is in demand. The Foundation has been instrumental in encouraging trade school education across the country.

Have a great February and log into Charitocracy to update your votes or nominate a new cause!
