February 2017 winner Southern Poverty Law Center

Charitocracy's 6th check to February winner Southern Poverty Law Center for $1171... and counting!

We voted in our sixth winner last night! Congratulations to winner Southern Poverty Law Center, and to donor damianf for nominating it! You can find their web site here.

And just a reminder: "sweetening the pot" with a one-time donation is now sweeter than ever. For the first week of every month, all pot sweeteners will go to last month's winner! So before we send the check to SPLC circa March 8, you can bump up the size of the check. $10 is the default, but you can change that to any whole dollar amount. Go check it out!

Now learn about one of winner Southern Poverty Law Center's latest legal battles, and feel good about your part in our collective $1171+ grant!

Have a great March, and log into Charitocracy to update your votes or nominate a new cause!

January 2017 winner Feline Hope Animal Shelter

Charitocracy's 5th check to January winner Feline Hope Animal Shelter for $732... and counting!

We voted in our fifth winner last night, the first of 2017!

Congratulations to January winner Feline Hope, and to donor obxlisa for nominating it! You can find their web site here. I want to call special attention to this win since it exemplifies how, if you work hard to promote your cause -- both within Charitocracy and publicly on social media -- even a small local charity can win. Feline Hope has perpetually come in 2nd place each month since September, so I think we're all relieved to see Lisa's work pay off. And by introducing Charitocracy to friends, family, and probably random strangers, Lisa has dramatically increased the monthly pot for all future winners, too. This is how to Charitocracy.

Another important thing, new in 2017, to which I want to draw your attention: "sweetening the pot" with a one-time donation is now sweeter than ever. For the first week of every month, all pot sweeteners will go to last month's winner! So before we send the check to Feline Hope circa February 8, you can bump up the size of the check. $10 is the default, but you can change that to any whole dollar amount. Go check it out!

Now enjoy this video featuring former residents of winner Feline Hope (yes, cats on the Internet!), and feel good about your part in our collective $732+ grant!

Have a great February, and log into Charitocracy to update your votes or nominate a new cause!
