Food bank maximizing access to nutritious food and resources that support food security for Greater Hartford, CT and beyond.
Foodshare is a Connecticut based company which provides food for families in need, no questions asked. In addition to doing mobile Foodshare distributions throughout the greater Hartford area, they also make and pack nutritious, non-perishable meals for distribution to those in greatest need in the US and abroad. They use local volunteers (in CT, MA, and RI) to keep costs low, and they provide so much help every day.
In my town, they distribute fresh produce and premade non-perishable meals every other week. They are currently providing a lot of food to folks laid off or furloughed due to Coronavirus-related shut downs. Please consider helping this amazing charity to feed healthcare workers, restaurant workers, and service industry families!

MegaMom104Every year, my family participates in food packing events with Foodshare. It’s so wonderful to be able to put our hands and skills to use with our neighbors and friends to make thousands of meals in just one day!

Please consider revoting for Feeding America for the remainder of September. Otherwise, Charitocracy will once again be feeding the Outer Banks instead of Feeding America or feeding Hartford!
