Tree of Hope Haiti spread the gospel of Christ to Haitians through community development rooted in God’s love.

We have been really excited about the opportunities that will become available for these people in the Grand-Goave area of Haiti when their Trade School opens and provides a path toward employment, and that was the catalyst for us to get involved. Our son is a tradesman, and we are well aware that entering the working world looks different for everyone…and it’s not always a 4-year degree.

In Haiti, even basic elementary education is something you don’t get unless someone pays for it. TOHH offers child sponsorship opportunities that get a child through school. They’ve provided access to water with a community water tower. They build safe homes for families. They’ve built a community pavilion for safe gatherings. After the big earthquake this year, they were an avenue by which to send aid to their neighbors in need of emergency help. And in the near future, the Trade School will be an option for those finishing high school who can’t or don’t desire to pursue college degrees.
