We honor Maddie, giving back via scholarships, sports facility upgrades & opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

The Maddie Potts Foundation was established in November of 2017, after 17 year old Maddie Potts died of an acute brain aneurysm  on the soccer field while taking a free kick on September 23, 2017. The foundation was founded in order to carry on Maddie’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and hard work, inclusive leadership and perseverance. aka Maddie Mentality. The foundations goal is to give back to the community each year with scholarships, facility upgrades and opportunities for individuals with disabilities and eventually help change the statistics of acute death and disability of brain aneurysm  through funding and research.

My husband had a brain aneurysm in 2003, he lived, most don’t. Maddie didn’t, but she left a legacy that we need to promote. A legacy of love and kindness, of acceptance and inclusion.  The Maddie Potts Foundation honors Maddie by giving back with scholarships, sports facility upgrades and opportunities for individuals with disabilities. It also hopes to eventually help change the statistics of acute death and disability of brain aneurysm through funding and research.  Please cast your vote for the Maddies Potts Foundation as this month’s nominee to receive the Chariticracy pot. Thanks.

Maddie’s Birthday is April 11th.  It would have been her 20th Birthday this year. It was also going to be the groundbreaking ceremony for the Maddie Potts Field house on the Chariho campus.  Due to Covid-19 the Groundbreaking Ceremony has been postponed. The Maddie Potts Foundation will still be collecting donations of food, treats, toys and cleaning supplies for the animal shelters.

Let’s VOTE for The Maddie Potts Foundation for Aprils Charitocracy of the Month!  Thank you!

    Dear Maddie Potts Voters,

Please consider revoting for Feeding America for the remainder of September.  Otherwise, Charitocracy will once again be feeding the Outer Banks instead of Feeding America or any other national cause!

Just one of the many ways The Maddie Potts Foundation gives back to the community.  Hasbro is the only Children’s hospital here in RI.

Hey guys – looks like your cause is going to win this month, which is awesome!!  For next month’s vote, I hope you’ll consider Clean Air Task Force.  We are facing a climate emergency and organisations like CATF are lobbying for serious change at the top level to keep the earth’s temperature from rising too fast.  Making a donation to this organisation has real value for money (I did my research on that one!) so please help make this happen next month – we haven’t had an environmental charity win yet and it’s about time.  Thanks for listening!
