This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for Charitocracy. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by this site. It will notify you of the following:

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to accept a donation or post your comment.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

We have implemented reCAPTCHA v3 to fight spam and abuse on this site. Your use of reCAPTCHA v3 is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

We have also implemented Akismet anti-spam service to fight spam and abuse on this site. They collect information about visitors who post comments. The information they collect includes the commenter's IP address, user agent, referrer, and site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about new programs or features, or changes to this privacy policy.

Registration
In order to use most features of this site, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact you about the services on our site in which you have expressed interest. At your option, you may also provide demographic information (such as zip code) about yourself, but it is not required.

Donations
We request information from you on our donation form. To donate to us, you must provide financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for donation billing purposes only.
